Titanium: The only deposit of it's kind in the world
Overview:
This vein system is very rich with grades assayed at 18% rutile within a massive ilmenite ore body. The mineral concessions contain multiple vein structures on strike and the drill holes to date have measured 1,570,000 mt of high-grade ore (18% rutile).
- 2375 ha - 100% ownership by Blackfire Exploration Mexico S de RL de CV.
- High-grade titanium deposit with proven (measured) resource.
- Multiple titanium high-grade veins.
Background:
This property is a potential world-class deposit (largest in North America) with a substantial number of outcrops at the surface.
- All of the preliminary metallurgical studies have been completed.
- Caracol and Dupont drilled five diamond drill cores into the deposit and found the grades to be very high (55% ilmenite, 18% rutile) and that the grade increases to depth.
Total measured resource of 1,570,000 metric tons.
- Caracol also performed areal magnetic surveys, and did extensive prospecting both with their crews and by independent geologists.
- Both Dupont and Rio Tinto have written extensive reports on this titanium deposit.
